Saturday 23rd July from 04:00 PM - 11:00 PM
The 3DBenchy has become the most printed model for testing 3D printers but.... how quickly can you print the boat? Here at GE we're joining the #SpeedBoatRace challenge to see what your machines and setups are capable of.
Rules:
- You must use PLA, PLA+, PETG, ASA, ABS or ABS+, basic colours, without any metallic effect, glitter, etc.
- The maximum nozzle size will be 0.5mm.
- The maximum layer height will be 0.25mm.
- You should use 3 solid layers underneath and 3 on top.
- You will use 2 walls and 10% fill.
- The final figure will have proportional and accurate dimensions to the original model. You’ll score more points if it looks good.
- The machine has to use stepper motors.
- You’ll have to make a video of the whole printing session, with a clock showing that it is being printed in real time.
- We’ll enable an uploader for you to upload a link to Youtube with your project using the hashtag #SpeedBoatRace and #EuskalEncounter30.
- You’ll also have to upload the gcode used.
