Self-Sovereign Identity
Places are limited, so it is required to register here.
Language: Spanish
Speaker: Santiago de Diego
Company: TECNALIA Research & Innovation
Description of the session:
Identity is one of the first cross-cutting areas where decentralisation will have a major impact. Over the last few decades we have seen how identity has moved from a centralised model to new federative models. Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) aims to return the power of identity to the user alongside blockchain (although not necessarily), enabling the user to govern the attributes that make up their identity, thus maximising their privacy. Thanks to SSI, users can digitally demonstrate that they are over 18 or their city of residence without having to reveal their true age, identity or specific place of residence.
What audience does it address?
Informative talk, general public.
Brief Speaker CV:
Santiago de Diego is a mathematics and IT engineering graduate from the University of Granada (UGR), EHPC certified, he has a Master in information security from the UNIR, and is a remote PhD student at the UGR.
He currently works as a cybersecurity researcher at TECNALIA Research & Innovation, where he essentially works on R&D projects focussed on cybersecurity and blockchain. His lines of research cover DLT architectures, sovereign identity and cybersecurity in industrial environments and critical systems.

From zero to racer: how to create your own race-level autonomous car
Language: Spanish
Speaker: Roberto Niubó Arango
Company: Unisys
Description of the session:
Have you heard the terms Deep Learning and Machine Learning, but you don’t know what they are even though we’re surrounded by this kind of technology in our everyday lives? Do you like racing cars and would you like to take part in an international, autonomous car race?
Thanks to AWS DeepRacer, without any prior knowledge of this type of technology and fairly easily, I learned what Deep Learning was all about. I was able to create my own neural network model capable of making a scale model car go around a race track, not only qualifying for the European finals at the time, but also becoming the winner of the Accenture World Cup in 2020 out of around 4,000 competitors, some of them experts in the world of artificial intelligence.
This talk aims to bring AWS DeepRacer and the reinforcement learning techniques used in machine learning to the public, and also to take advantage of the AWS DeepRacer technology to demonstrate that anyone, with or without previous knowledge and with or without technical skills, is able to train a neural network in less than an hour based on machine learning to solve a problem: to be able to make our car, either physical or virtual, drive around a circuit as fast as possible, completely autonomously.
We’ll also be able to squeeze our neurons (and those of our models) to compete in the AWS DeepRacer League, where we can compete for various prizes for the fastest lap time. And we're not just talking about a welcome kit once we’ve qualified for the Pro League, rather the actual AWS DeepRacer or an all-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas to race the actual models at the AWS re:Invent event at the end of the year.
Are you ready?🏁🏎️
What audience does it address?
General public, with or without previous technical expertise, interested in new technologies.
Brief Speaker CV:
Born in Zaragoza. I’m a Salesforce developer at Unisys. I’m a fan of new technologies and passionate about hardware and anything with buttons and lights. “If you’re breaking it, you’re learning”. In my spare time I'm usually playing on my PC or Switch, watching Formula 1, taking pictures, composing music or editing videos. AWS DeepRacer Accenture World Cup 2020 World Champion.

Electric vehicles - Just for geeks or a universal solution?
Language: Spanish
Speaker: Mikel Agirregabiria Agirre
Company: President of AUVE (association of electric vehicle users) in Spain. Member of the Spanish Tesla Club.
Description of the session:
Using recent and reliable data, this talk will explain, in an entertaining and descriptive way, the growing trend that the car industry has already accepted towards the EACSY paradigm (electric, autonomous, connected, shared and yearly-upgraded), despite its past investments in combustion engines that have led to inertia, as well as the decisive and irreversible choice of potential buyers of present and future vehicles.
Using humour, we’ll counter the often-quoted clichés of "if it rains and the car gets wet, what happens to the batteries", "fire hazards" and "if the whole neighbourhood recharged at night, the fuses would blow". We’ll also debunk the false hybrid alternative myths (there are only disadvantages, whether rechargeable or self-charging), of hydrogen for light vehicles, and other gas or electrification gimmicks that have no future.
We’ll conclude with the current landscape of options and challenges of day-to-day electric mobility from a user perspective. Lastly, we’ll show the rapid transition that awaits us in just 8 to 10 years, both in terms of supply-demand developments and also legislation to preserve the health and sustainability of the planet and humanity.
What audience does it address?

Play-2-Earn video games, NFTs and Blockchain
Language: Spanish
Speaker: Javier Arribas Cerezo
Company: Exodus Games
Description of the session:
Cryptocurrencies and NFTs –with great sympathisers and fierce detractors– generate a wide range of opinions and instil a certain level of uncertainty about their reliability and viability in anyone exploring these new technologies. Considering that for many people blockchain is the technology of the future, while for many others it is the biggest fraud of recent times, it is understandable that we sometimes wonder who is right. Is it worth investing in this technology or will I lose my money?
One of the great debates today is around NFTs. They are seen by many as simple assets that base their value on their own inflation, without taking into account the great advantages that their correct use can provide as the epitome of what is known as virtual property. The possibility of registering ownership of tangible assets using blockchain is also gaining momentum, provided that current legislation allows it.
Moreover, the video game industry is beginning to create ties with this technology, although still rather awkwardly. Major brands are slowly joining in and new projects are emerging that focus on offering a stable and sustainable system within the Play-2-Earn game arena, rather than concentrating on short-termism and asset volatility. This is the case with Lord of Myths, the game we are working on, where we have managed to strike the right balance between internal mathematics and economics.
Rather than getting carried away by radical positions for or against this technology, we encourage you to form your own opinion on the matter, as not everything is so black and white. Be that as it may, we invite you to discover the pros and cons of this technology and how it can influence the video game industry, as told by specialists involved in the development of a game in blockchain.
Don't miss your opportunity to keep up to date with the hottest topic: cryptocurrencies and NFTs in video games. See you at EE30!
What audience does it address?
Anyone with an interest in the world of cryptocurrencies, blockchain game development or game sustainability. A general knowledge of these concepts will be enough to follow the conference.
Brief Speaker CV:
Aerospace engineering graduate from Universidad Politécnica in Madrid with a Master's in automotive and competition vehicle design. Currently working as a CAD designer for Airbus. For the past few years, he has spent his free time developing video games in blockchain, specifically Lord of Myths, with Exodus Games. Indie development in the 90s: NoriaWorks
Language: Spanish
Speaker: Jorge Rosado de Alvaro
Company: RetroEuskal
Description of the session:
NoriaWorks was set up in 1994 as a 100% indie company and the brainchild of a small group of programmers. Despite being active for only a few years, it achieved international renown as the company managed to distribute some of its games globally in collaboration with Friendware.
Unlike other Spanish companies, NoriaWorks sought to innovate and forget the 8-bit era altogether, opting for arcade-style games at the forefront of technology, such as Speed Haste from 1995, the first Spanish game to be fully 3D.
Throughout its existence, NoriaWorks grew to a staff of almost 20 people, making it one of the largest video game companies in the mid-90s at a national level.
This talk will involve Jorge telling us about how NoriaWorks was created, describing each of the games that were developed, and interspersing technical data with anecdotes.
What audience does it address?
Open to all.
Brief Speaker CV:
Jorge Rosado is a video game developer with a career of close to 30 years. Without having finished his degree, he co-founded NoriaWorks, a company that in just 5 years launched 5 games and developed the first Spanish game entirely in 3D: Speed Haste.
After NoriaWorks he moved to Hammer Technologies, a company famous for creating the mythical Div Studio, a kind of Unity of the 90s that many programmers used to make their first video games.
He later moved on to Dinamic Multimedia (PC Atletismo, La Prisión) and Pyro Studios (Praetorians, Commandos Strike Force).
He currently develops mobile games at ZeptoLab.

2) We’ll set up a search system to analyse and track the exfiltration of information.
3) We’ll try and remain undetected as far as possible so that the application is not uninstalled and erases its trace.
We’ll use analogies to spy movies/comics to better understand the concepts of incident response and forensic analysis.
What audience does it address?
Intermediate to advanced level.
Although the concepts are advanced, we’ll try to make it easy to practice what has been explained, using well-documented programmes (knowledge of operating system installation and network configuration is necessary).

Helium - the good and the not so good
Language: Spanish
Speaker: Rafa Martínez Landa
Company: EuskoByte Elkartea
Description of the session:
With the rise of cryptocurrencies, many people are looking for a way to invest and make a profit using the new tokens.
Helium is a global LoraWAN network with over 850,000 devices, which remunerates anyone who installs a HotSpot providing IoT coverage and, in turn, helps mine the HNT token.
The excessive interest in this network means that the optimistic expectations of a significant number of participants are not fulfilled.
This talk aims to tell it like it is. It’s not a coin factory or a bottomless pit; guiding the HNT universe towards experimentation and personal development in the IoT world.
What audience does it address?
Individuals who want to experiment and can see the possibilities.
